Were the Smith Sisters Murdered Anonymously?

September 28, 2010 by · 1 Comment

In 1993 it was said that two sisters were brutally murdered in the small-town community of Plainfield, Wisconsin. Sarah Smith aged 15 and her sister Lisa Smith aged 19 were attacked in their parent's home on the night of November 17th at around 1:30AM. Sarah was found stabbed and strangled in the bed where she had been sleeping. Lisa her sister was found hanging in her sister's closet, skinned alive. Police conducted an extensive investigation but found no evidence leading to the possible offenders. Motives for the attacks remained a mystery, neither was any attacker(s) ever traced. The only lead the authorities had was a log found on Lisa's computer, showing a series of potentially life threatening messages sent through an Internet chat service. Due to lack of evidence the case was finally closed in October 2000.
